THE SHORT ANSWER
What the programme means in practice
EDG may support a new project that helps a Singapore company upgrade, automate, innovate or develop new capabilities. Support is assessed project by project. A custom software build is not automatically eligible, and work must not begin before the application where the grant conditions prohibit it.

When it may fit
A new automation, process redesign or product-development project with measurable business outcomes may fit the Innovation and Productivity pillar.
When not to assume it fits
Routine replacement, ordinary setup costs, work that has already started or a project with no meaningful new capability is less likely to fit.

A five-point eligibility check
- The company is registered and operating in Singapore
- At least 30% of the company is locally owned
- The company can finance and complete the project
- The project is new and work has not already commenced
- The proposal states measurable business and worker outcomes

Frequently asked questions
Is Metabay Studio an EDG pre-approved vendor?
EDG does not operate a general pre-approved vendor list. Enterprise Singapore assesses the project scope, outcomes and service-provider competency. Approval is never automatic.
Can we start development while the application is being reviewed?
Do not assume so. Enterprise Singapore states that projects must be new and not already commenced at the point required by the application rules. Confirm the current condition before signing, paying or starting work.
Does EDG pay the entire project cost?
No. Current guidance states support of up to 50 percent of eligible costs for local SMEs, subject to assessment and grant conditions.
Can Metabay submit the grant application for us?
No. The applicant company submits through the Business Grants Portal using CorpPass. Metabay can provide an accurate project scope and quotation for the company's application.
