The situation

A cancer diagnostics company that has raised twenty million dollars needed doctors to read results online. That means patient health information in production, which turns an ordinary product build into a security and compliance problem first and an interface problem second.

What we built

• The doctor-facing dashboard for reviewing results, across every report type they run
• An admin portal for the operations team
• A standalone backend and database, handed over to run in house
• The entire production AWS platform in the client's own account, defined as code
• Controls sized for regulated health data: audit logging with integrity validation, threat detection, key management, download links that expire in five minutes, and no long-lived credentials anywhere
